National Metalforming Centre
The National Metalforming Centre, based in the heart of the Midlands, uses its training and conference rooms for internal use as well as for external hire.
Using a combination of worksheets in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, bookings and enquiries were saved and daily booking / catering sheets copied from one sheet to another.
The introduction of Chaser VENUE resulted in immediate efficiency gains and has ensured there are no double-bookings. Following on-site set-up and training, Chaser VENUE has introduced a formal workflow process and implemented user security ensuring that only authorised users are able to allocate, move or update events.
How did you find the transition to Chaser VENUE & what difference has Chaser VENUE made to your event booking process?
I looked for a long time to find a system that did everything I needed for a small conference organisation and Chaser VENUE fits the bill perfectly. We previously created bookings manually using spreadsheets. The transition to Chaser VENUE was easy and took approximately one week.
We now have far fewer mistakes, less chance of double booking a room, less need to overlook staff because the system is so user friendly. The ability of knowing the status of an event at a glance using the colour coding really helps. Clients have more faith in the system; Excel regularly crashed and bookings could be lost.In what way has Chaser VENUE changed the way team members spend their working time?
Paperwork has been reduced by approximately 34-40% - no more post-it notes etc that can get lost! As a result we now have at least 25% more time to spend on pro-active marketing our venue.
How has Chaser VENUE improved internal / external communications and affected the way you pro-actively market your venue?
Internal communications between team members has increased by 100% thanks to the Contact Log & Actions! It's much easier to run a report and know when we need external suppliers of catering and equipment instead of looking through files and hard copies.
