St Williams College, York Minster

One of Europe's finest cathedrals, York Minster hosts various events not only in the Minster itself but also in St Williams College and the Centre for School Visits.

St Williams College offers flexible event accommodation for up to 200 delegates catering for conferences, dinners, medieval banquets and weddings.

Previously entirely paper based, a panel comprising members from each area of the Minster assessed a number of different solutions before selecting Chaser VENUE.

How did you find the transition to Chaser VENUE & what difference has Chaser VENUE made to your event booking process?

The transition to Chaser VENUE was so smooth our clients didn't even notice! The system produces provisional & confirmation letters so they do not need to be manually typed. The template letters and invoicing have enhanced the way we manage our events. We hadn't intended using the Payment option, however this is most useful.

In what way has Chaser VENUE changed the way team members spend their working time?

It frees up a considerable amount of time so that the Conference team can chase all enquiries and improve the conversion rate.

How has Chaser VENUE improved internal / external communications and affected the way you pro-actively market your venue?

The three main members of the Conference team can view all bookings on Chaser so the need to verbally pass on information is reduced. It has also been beneficial because we can all deal with client queries relating to their booking instead of it just being the job of the Conference Organiser.

How would you rate the service, support and training that you have received from Velvet Software?

Tim is the most patient man on the planet! He is an excellent trainer and provided great support. It is very comforting to know that Chris is on the end of the phone and ready to sort out any problems we encounter in a professional and competent manner. Thank you for bringing us into the 21st century!
